DR. DAN KHAN
Dr Dan Khan is a young award winning doctor and advocate
Dr Khans work is inspired by his experience of surviving a terrorist attack in Pakistan.
Dr Khans early work focused on United Nations SDG 4 (Sustainable Development Goals) in the wake of the European Refugee Crisis. As an undergraduate, Dr Khan initiated ‘Project - Let’s Move Forward’ an online career progression programme allowing refugees to further their education from institutions such as Harvard, Yale and Google. As an undergraduate, Dr Khan was the sole undergraduate trainee at the United Nations Training Academy, Ireland.
Dr Khan has been recognised internationally for his work. Dr Khan is the sole Irish recipient of the Princess Diana Award, conferred by the British Royal Family. Dr Khan was honoured at the Red Cross Humanitarian Awards in 2021. Dr Khan has been awarded Fellowship of Queen Elizabeth II’s Commonwealth Trust, the Royal Society of the Arts, The Aspen Institute and the World Economic Forum.
Dr Khan currently serves as Ambassador for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Institute and Consultant for WWF and WHO.
Dr Khan received his medical degree from Trinity College Dublin.
Dr Khan is the serving director of Mehsoos, Pakistans first Mental Health campaign focusing on tribal regions impacted by the War on Terror.
Dr Khans work has been featured in publications such as Forbes, The Irish Times, The Independent, Al Jazeera.
Dr Khan has spoken at Yale University, Cambridge University.
